The real players...

Underrated NBA players that deserve more recognition

1. Josh Smith, No. 5 Atlanta Hawks

6'9, 240 lbs

This guy is Atlanta's everything guy. He defends, he's a walking high light reel... so it's always a question to me... Why hasn't this guy made a single All-Star game? For a guy his size, and for a supposed Power Forward he is athletic as hell. Averaging around 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.5 blocks a game, he definitely is a factor on both sides of the court.

2. Eric Gordon, No. 10, LA Clippers

6'3 215 lbs
The Indiana product, this guy is a good good player, and he only got better after going to Turkey for the FIBA world championship as part of Team USA. He's quick, he's athletic, he's got the hops and can put up them sick dunks, shoots the 3's really well, and hes a great defender as a shooting guard even though he is undersize. At about 22 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1 and a half steals a game, if it weren't for being on one of the worst teams in the league he would probably have made an All-Star appearance, I've always thought he was really similar to Russell Westbrook.

3. Raymond Felton  No. 20 Denver Nuggets

6'1 205 lbs

This guy is a real boss as far as old fashioned point guards go. He's hit his share of buzzer beaters as well making him a good clutch performer. He averages roughly 20 and 10, points and assists that is, so the numbers there. All he needs are quality bigs like Stoudemire (arguable). Anyways the way this guy plays, he's for sure at that higher level, and he's gonna be one of the best point guards in the league in the future. Expect big things from him.

4. Andrew Bynum No. 17 LA Lakers

7'0 285 lbs

I don't care what people say about him, he is a quality player. His rebounding and his defense are excellent, and his offensive game is on the rise too. The only reason for his lack of scoring is due to big names like Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant on the team, otherwise I'd expect 15-17 points a game from him. If he can play safe and avoid injuries like he has during the playoffs, he can become a real quality big. With more minutes he'll improve more, and he's gonna have to for the Lakers due to the decline in Gasol's game.

5. Andre Iguodala

6'6 207 lbs

This guy is a massive boss, he plays tough defense and he's got some style in his game too. With his long and limber arms he makes great defensive plays, getting into lanes and deflecting passes. He dunks pretty well too. Averaging about 16-17 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals a game this guy is as solid as it gets for both the small forward and the shooting guard position. Not to mention his shootings has gotten better in these years. The fact that this guy has never been on an All-Star team is one of the greatest tragedies in sports, well not quite. Anyway's I love Iggy's style of play, and he'll only get better now that he's reached his prime years.
